Day Programs (Waiting List Only)

CISS is licensed as an Adult Day Program. We are committed to the mission of providing the highest quality care and training to support our clients in experiencing their fullest potential. All of our programs are designed to support community integration.

Program Leaders and personnel provide training and support in self-advocacy, community integration, self-care, social recreation, education, and opportunities to earn spending money. Health and wellness are promoted through physical exercise, professionally licensed massage therapy, proper nutrition and healthy lifestyles.

Our philosophy is to build self-esteem by designing our programs to serve the greater communities we operate in. We believe all people are at their best when they are contributing to the lives of other people.

Individual Service Plans establish skill-development goals for each person. Adults with developmental disabilities are provided transportation and receive support for activities concerning daily living and appropriate social behavior as well as personal growth and development.

Brentwood GUIDE Work and Day Program (NEW!)

Announcing the Grand Opening of our new Brentwood Work and Day Program April 1, 2009!

Introducing the GUIDE Vocational Program!

Guiding Unique Individuals Developing Excellence!

The GUIDE Program will serve 30 adults (18-59) with autism and other developmental disabilities. The goal of the program is to build self-esteem and skill development for those people that are ready to develop the responsibility of working a small paid position. Each person will be supervised by a trained staff person that will oversee each job and to ensure personal safety at all times. The work will include local landscaping jobs, clean up and general hauling, park clean up and graffiti removal. Other work may be accomplished depending upon the skill level and enthusiasm of the individual. Income is earned by the job, not on an hourly basis.

We currently have 25 openings and are taking applications!

Community Dances & Movie Nights!

Community Dances and Movie Nights will be offered on a monthly basis. This will be a great opportunity for recreation and to meet new people! $5 admission price per person. Soft drinks and snacks are $1 each.

Supported Living Services (7 Openings Available!)

In 2007 CISS began offering Supported Living Services (SLS) to adults with developmental disabilities. By expanding its vendorized services to include SLS, CISS will develop even more support for individuals who require specialized assistance to live in a community setting of their choosing.

It is our philosophy that individuals with developmental disabilities enjoy the same rights as their non-disabled peers along with the specific rights provided by law:

  • Live in his/her home with support available as often and for as long as needed.
  • Build critical and durable relationships with others;
  • To choose where and with whom to live;
  • Control the character and appearance of the environment within their home;
  • Achieve the living options and lifestyles of his/her choice.
  • Make informed choices in all aspects of his/her life.
